A Trip Down Market Street is a 13-minute actuality film recorded by placing a movie camera on the front of a cable car as it travels down San Francisco’s Market Street. A virtual time capsule from over 100 years ago, the film shows many details of daily life in a major American city, including the transportation, fashions and architecture of the era. The film begins at 8th Street and continues eastward to the cable car turntable, at The Embarcadero, in front of the San Francisco Ferry Building. It was produced by the four Miles brothers: Harry, Herbert, Earle and Joe. Harry J. Miles cranked the Bell & Howell camera during the filming.

Walberg, and share the participation of appraisers Miller Gaffney, Kevin Bruneau, John Bruno, Bene Raia, and Bob Richter. Fred Willard was the original host of the show; however, after his arrest for engaging in a lewd act at an adult movie theater, PBS dropped him as host and had Walberg re-voice the episodes Willard had already completed. On March 13, 2013, PBS announced it was ending production of Market Warriors, the series that premiered in July 2012 under Market Wars as a partner program to longtime ratings hit Antiques Roadshow, according to a March 14 WGBH, Boston, internal memo to employees. Marsha Bemko, executive producer of both programs, commented the decision was PBS’s and declined further comment.

The programme, which debuted a new logo on October 30, 2006, then used the theme music previously adopted by Street Signs. When the programme debuted in April 2000, it was entitled Asia Market Watch and only lasted for 1 hour with the 2nd half hour a replay of the 1st half hour. However, in October 2000, as part of CNBC Asia's extension of live regional programming, it was simply renamed Market Watch and aired live for 3½ hours on Weekdays. Prior to 2 January 2001, CNBC Asia used graphics for the show different from the one used by CNBC US.
